Emergy closes sale of 168 MW Alibunar wind project in Serbia

Emergy has completed the sale of the 168 MW Alibunar wind project in Serbia to Heavy Energy International. After the transaction was signed and all closing conditions were fulfilled, ownership of the project was formally transferred to the buyer. Heavy Energy International is expected to begin construction activities soon, moving the project from development toward implementation.

The Alibunar project consists of the Alibunar A and B wind farms and was developed by Emergy together with its partner WV International. Emergy described the handover as an important milestone for one of Serbia’s significant renewable energy developments, with the project expected to support the country’s clean energy goals and long-term energy security. The deal also reflects Emergy’s broader strategy of developing large-scale wind and solar projects across Southeast Europe.
