Honeywell has expanded its Operational Technology Cybersecurity Suite with new capabilities aimed at protecting industrial environments and critical infrastructure from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. The company says the enhanced portfolio is designed to help organisations move beyond reactive security and adopt a more unified approach to cyber resilience across digital and physical operations. The article also cites World Economic Forum findings that only 32% of organisations with industrial environments actively monitor OT systems, while just 20% have dedicated OT security teams.
The expanded suite includes five main additions: the Secure Media Exchange Portable Scanner for inspecting USB drives, removable media and air-gapped systems; Cyber Proactive Defense, an AI-powered OT monitoring platform that correlates alerts and helps prioritise threats; Cyber Governance Risk and Compliance, which uses AI and machine learning to automate evidence collection and audit reporting; a data diode for secure one-way data transfer; and an expanded managed OT Security Operations Center providing 24/7 network and endpoint monitoring. Honeywell says the suite is available now and is intended for sectors including manufacturing, energy and critical infrastructure.
